Amazing brilliant machinima using the Source Engine and various Half-Life 2 assets. It's as if the Blue Man Group decided to play with Garry's Mod.

Fellow BoVoxer jess inspired me with her recent camera acquisition to take more pictures with my SD630. Late Thursday night and Friday early morning, we had a nice snowfall that accumulated to about 2 inches in the driveway. The snow sat perfectly on each branch and gave me an excuse to take a break from shoveling the driveway.
I am extremely giddy to see Trent come out with another concept album. This wiki entry describes in some detail the album and some of the themes surrounding it. So for now, here is the album cover, two released songs from the album, and the trailer for the album. Some recurring themes regarding Year Zero are hidden in the trailer.
The engineers at Google that work on Gmail cranked out this excellent video about why to use Gmail.

Check this out of the library in search of a good read about OOP in Perl. This really did not deliver what I was looking for. Also the information contained in this tome I already nnew from previous experience with Perl or from my graduate studies. I am only halfway through it and hoping to find some good revelations in it.
I was at church on Saturday night waiting for Vigil services to start. None of the candles were lit and the sun was low in the sky. I decided to step into the darkened church and take some natural light shots. I did this with the SD630 which I blame for the somewhat noisy shots. Burst mode is your friend when taking these types of shots without a tripod. I like how the end result of the shots feature much more blue than I expected. The interior is painted white.
As for Photoshop, I only messed with the contrast and sharpness of the shots. No color levels were adjusted or harmed in the processing of these shots.
Here are some pictures of the snowfall so far in February. First picture is from Valentine's day and the other two are taken by the wife from when we got a light dusting at the beginning of the month. Luckily, we didn't get the nasty rainy slush that Boston got. Still, shoveling the driveway sucked and left me a broken man.

I still haven't watch this episode and I pretty much spoiled it for myself.
