While the hoards were getting the early bird deals on Black Friday, the wife's family and I decided to walk some of the (paved) trails in the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge. Since the weather has been mild, the walk was a very pleasant experience.
Here we see that the U.S Army didn't do a great job cleaning up.
However, the trees were extremely beautiful.
We ran across a weather station that used to be used by the Air Force. The wife and I decided to take separate pictures of it. Which one is better?
The wife has been into shadow photos so here is a group shot (the wee one was passed out in her carriage). You know that you are dealing with a soccer family when we hike with a soccer ball in tow.
I geovox'd some of these photos for those of you that may be interested.
Some shots going over the Throgs Neck Bridge looking at NYC. The wife took these since I was not about to take some shots over my shoulder while going over this monstrosity. These photos have been GeoVox'd as well.

I love this offramp; very roller coaster-esque. Since I commute by myself, taking pictures while driving ~80 mph on major interstates was a bit of a challenge. I am glad this picture turned in focus. I was hoping to grab some pictures from the Minute Man National Historical Park (as it is part of my commute), but I was running late. It would have required me to get out of the car to really capture the beauty of the tree canopies covering the roads.
Update: Added GeoVox tagging to the photo so you can see the offramp. GeoVox is a work in progress by programmer formerly known as Cute Overlord. Just type in "raf" (sans quotes) in the text box, press the "getstuff" button, and watch the magic unfold. You may need zoom in to get a better view.
